APPARATUS OF ESTIMATING USER'S GAZE AND THE METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A pupil estimating gaze apparatus and the method is provided to eliminate concern of a malfunction when staring into one point for a long time so that an installation of an infrared LED is not demanded to the around display screen. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(10) displays on a screen as fixed frequency. A pupil pickup(20) takes a photograph of a pupil of a user which information is reflected. An image data processor(30) receives screen information of the display unit and a video information recording of the pupil pickup, and presumes an eye-gaze direction of the user from two information. The pupil pickup is a high speed camera and takes a photograph of the pupil of the user with a frame rate more than two times of the screen of the display unit.
