<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of achieving power saving of maintenance while rapid stopping is carried out in the case abnormality occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 10 has a reformer 20 to form a reformed gas g containing hydrogen, and a fuel cell 30 to introduce the reformed gas g and generate electric power, and includes an abnormality detecting means for detecting abnormality of the fuel cell system 10, and a control device 36 to stop the fuel cell system 10 when abnormality is detected, and to restart the fuel cell system 10 when the detected abnormality is one related to a prescribed minor fault.
