GENE CLUSTERING APPARATUS AND PROGRAM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gene clustering apparatus for finding a gene having a similar function even in the gene of an evolutionarily distant organism, and supporting the estimation of the function of the gene.

SOLUTION: The gene clustering apparatus 10 for clustering the plurality of genes, based on sequence similarity includes: a motif retrieving part 17 for retrieving a motif sequence included in a gene sequence; a motif score calculating part 19 for calculating the similarity score of the two arbitrary genes by comparing the motif sequences included in the respective gene sequences; an inter-gene distance calculating part 20 for calculating the inter-gene distance between the two arbitrary genes through the use of the similarity score; a clustering processing part 21 for clustering the plurality of genes, based on the inter-gene distance; and an expression data acquiring part 22 for comparing gene expression data.
