<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trunk locking device for a vehicle enabling the locked/unlocked state to be easily discriminated from the outside of a vehicle body and having a lock knob that enables a manual locking operation. <P>SOLUTION: This trunk locking device includes a portable key 70 for performing authentication with a vehicle body side through radio communication, an opening/closing latch 41 for maintaining or releasing the closed state of a trunk 30, an open lever 40 for driving the opening/closing latch 41 in the opening direction, a lock knob 50 for prohibiting the driving of the opening/closing latch 41 in the opening direction at the lock position and locking the trunk 30 and allowing the driving of the opening/closing latch 41 at the unlock position and unlocking the trunk 30, and an actuator 66 for changing the position of the lock knob 50. The lock knob 50 is arranged at a position where the lock knob can be observed from the outside of the trunk 30. When the open lever 40 in the locked state is operated, the authentication of the portable key 70 is performed, and when the authentication is normally performed, the lock knob 50 is driven to the unlock position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
