<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of display quality due to variation in threshold voltage of respective pixels and variation in current amplification factor of the pixels. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel 11 (i, j) includes an organic EL element and a driving transistor for supplying a current to the organic EL element. A data driver 16 draws in a preliminarily set current from each pixel 11 (i, j) and measures the potential of each data line Ld(i). A system controller 13 obtains a current amplification factor and a threshold voltage, which corresponds to each pixel 11 (i, j) on the basis of the current value of the drawn-in current and the value of the potential of each data line Ld(i) measured by the data driver 16 and stores them in a correction data storage part.
