<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of feeding accuracy of a transfer belt 13A caused by curling nature or the like of the transfer belt 13A while suppressing slide of the transfer belt 13A. <P>SOLUTION: The belt unit includes a rotational resistance applying mechanism 16 applying rotational resistance to a driven roller 13C when the driven roller 13C rotates. When the transfer belt 13A and the driven roller 13C rotate, the large rotational resistance acts on the driven roller 13C, so that a driving roller 13B forcibly rotates the transfer belt 13A against the large rotational resistance acting on the driven roller 13C, consequently, the large tension is generated on the transfer belt 13A. Meanwhile, when rotation of the driving roller 13B is stopped, the rotational resistance disappears, so that the tension generated with the rotation of the driving roller 13B disappears simultaneously with the stop of the driving roller 13B. Therefore, the lowering of feeding accuracy of the transfer belt 13A caused by curling nature or the like of the transfer belt 13A is prevented while suppressing the slide of the transfer belt 13A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
