PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for arthralgia for external use that is not sticky and excellent in analgesic effects and heating effects (persistency). SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for arthralgia for external use comprises a non-steroid antiinflammatory agent and, incorporated therewith, nonanoic acids, a cool feeling-imparting component, powders, a thickening agent and a polyhydric alcohol, where the amount of the powders is 0.3-1.2 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the polyhydric alcohol. The therapeutic agent for arthralgia for external use exhibits, in particular, both inflammation-soothing effects and blood circulation-facilitating effects, improves metabolism in an affected part and promises to exhibit tissue-restoring effects.
