PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more easily confirm a composition. SOLUTION: An imaging section 432 receives light from a lens 431 and images an image. An extracting section 435 extracts an image that has a different size from the imaged image and contains a focused subject. A synthesizing section 436 synthesizes the extracted image so as to align the position of the subject with the imaged image. A display section 438 displays the imaged image of a part corresponding to a predetermined region having the same size as the extracted image in a display region in which the overall imaged image can be displayed, and the display section 438 displays the imaged image and the extracted image synthesized with the imaged image.
