PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic clutch release device for elongating the life of a clutch by preventing an increase in the solid height of a return spring. SOLUTION: The hydraulic clutch release device includes: an inside housing 1, an outside housing 2; a cylinder chamber 4 formed between the inside housing 1 and the outside housing 2; annular pistons 6, 7 stored in the cylinder chamber 4 in an axially slidable manner; a release bearing 5 movable along with the slide of the annular pistons 6, 7; and the return spring 9 arranged between the outside housing 2 and the release bearing 5 for biasing the release bearing 5. In an area to be the seat face at the end of the return spring 9 on the side of the outside housing 2, an outer periphery positioning portion 11c and a guide portion 11d are provided which avoids the displacement of the end of the return spring 9 on the side of the outside housing 2 to the outer periphery side and which guides the return spring 9 riding over the top of the outer periphery positioning portion 11c to the inner periphery side, respectively.
