PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a bulk ratio of an ink cartridge by making an external shape of an inner bag filled with an ink coincide with an inner shape of an outer box. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge which is detached and attached to a printing apparatus includes a liquid storage container 220 with which an ink is enclosed and a surrounding sheath object 240 of box shape with which the liquid storage container 220 is inserted. In the liquid storage container 220, a cross-section shape coincides with an inside shape in the cross-section of the surrounding sheath object of box shape in the state of having enclosed the ink. Thereby, since the inside shape of the liquid storage container 220 in the state of the ink having been enclosed is made coincide with the inside shape of the surrounding sheath object 240, the liquid storage container 220 can be contained in the surrounding sheath object 240 without clearance, and then the bulk ratio can be enhanced by increasing the ink capacity of the ink cartridge 200.
