PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid film having high transparency and good heat resistance, and a method for producing it. SOLUTION: This polylactic acid film is produced by melt-extruding a polylactic acid composition which is obtained by melt-mixing poly L-lactic acid and poly D-lactic acid. The film is characterized in that stereocomplex crystallinity (S) which is showed by following formula and measured using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC measurement) is≥90%: S=äΔHmsc/(ΔHmsc+ΔHmh)}×100 (1), whereinΔHmh is enthalpy of fusion at a melting peak of a low melting point when a crystal-melting peak temperature obtained by the DSC measurement is <190°C, andΔHmsc is enthalpy of fusion at a melting peak of a high melting point when a crystal-melting peak temperature obtained by the DSC measurement is≥190°C, as well as a haze is≤10%, and a change in the haze after 10 minute-heat treatment at 140°C is≤5%.
