<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull circuit and a method of setting idling current of a push-pull circuit adapted for suppressing current variations originated from variations in a threshold voltage Vth so that a stable reduction of power consumption can be achieved. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The push-pull circuit 10A has an N channel MOS transistor 11, and a P channel MOS transistor 12 connected to the N channel MOS transistor 11 in line symmetry, in which a bias voltage Vbias applied to a well of at least one of the N channel MOS transistor 11 and the P channel MOS transistor 11 is prescribed to be such a voltage as to cause the idling current which flows in the push-pull circuit 10A to be set to a predetermined current value.
