<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently controlling an influence of a generated gas exerting on an electrolysis state, in an electrolytic reaction accompanied with the generation of a gas, which can be easily conducted without complicating the apparatus and without exerting an adverse effect on an electrolysis tank. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for controlling the electrolysis state includes electrolyzing a solution while adjusting an angle of inclination with respect to the vertical direction of the surface of electrodes 5, 6 and 7 which are stored in the electrolysis tank 4, thereby to control such an action that gas bubbles generated on the electrode surface are liberated while sliding/moving on the electrode surface, and consequently to adjust the electric resistance of the electrode surface.
