<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mold release paper with an emboss, capable of improving mold releaseability from synthetic leather and being used for manufacturing the synthetic leather requiring the processing under a high-temperature environment, and a method for manufacturing the mold release paper with the emboss. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mold release paper includes a mold release substrate 1 with the emboss having irregularity on the surface and a release layer 2 formed on the surface of the mold release substrate 1 through the CVD method.
