PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of improving a washing effect in a shoe washing apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a water tank 9 for storing washing water; a grating 6 provided at the upper part of the water tank 9 to place shoes thereon; brush plates 5 which are provided under the grating 6 and supported in a manner of being swingable with a horizontal axis in a center while brushes 4 can project upward from the opening of the grating 6; a drive part which swings the brush plates 5; and arms 10 provided astride the edge of the arm 10. One ends of the arms 10 are fixed to the brush plates 5 within the water tank 9, and the other ends of the arms 10 are supported by fulcrum pins 12 being the horizontal axis outside the water tank 9.
