PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump interior inspection device capable of inspecting the interior of a vertical shaft pump being mounted from on the mounting floor. SOLUTION: The inspection device for inspecting the internal parts of a vertical shaft pump 1 communicates with the side surface near the inspection position of the vertical shaft pump 1 hanging from a pump water tank 41, penetrates an upper pumping pipe 5 mounted on the mounting floor 2, and is connected to an insertion unit 18 above the mounting floor 2. An image obtaining device 15 is inserted into the insertion unit 18, and a compressor 19 is connected to supply air to the interior of the pump to replace remaining drain water with the air. A water passage pipe 36 and a water inlet hole 37 are provided below an inspection pipe 16, so a trash and a suspended solid are not deposited in the inspection pipe 16. Consequently, the image obtaining device 15 can easily be inserted through the inspection pipe 16 into the pump, resulting in clear images which are to be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
