In order to assemble a differential trip unit (10) and a circuit breaker (2) provided side by side on a track (4), the first step preferably comprises the electric connection of a connection assembly (50) in the housings (7), and a translation movement (d) of the connection assembly (50) results in a mechanical connection during a second step. To this end, a device (20) was developed for quick connection via pins, wherein said device includes a planar conductor portion (22) provided with projections (42) and urged by a spring (26) towards a connection pad (8) of a housing terminal (6). This configuration prevents the repulsion generated by a short-circuit current in a circuit breaker (2) and maintains the contact between the conductors (8) of the circuit breaker (2) and the conductors (22, 52) connected to the differential protection unit (10) without any screwing action.
