<p>The invention provides a steering system (1, 101, 103) for causing wheels (302) of a towed vehicle to steer in dependence on the angular position between the towed vehicle and a towing vehicle which tows the towed vehicle, said steering system comprising an actuated cylinder means (3,103) and an actuating cylinder means (2,102) for actuating the actuated cylinder means, said actuated cylinder means being of the double-acting type and comprising a cylinder housing (21,121) with two opposite cylinder chambers (23, 24, 123, 124) present therein, and comprising a piston rod (22, 122) which is mechanically connected to at least one steered wheel and which piston rod is reciprocatingly movable between a neutral position and an actuated position in dependence on pressures prevailing inside within the cylinder housing.</p> |
