PURPOSE: A solid ink composition is provided to ensure proper thermal decomposition and to be used within ink jet ink, solid ink, UV curable ink and emulsion aggregation toner. CONSTITUTION: A solid ink composition comprises a phase change or solid ink carrier, a polymeric dispersant, an optional colorant, and a fluorescent nanoparticle composition, wherein the carrier comprises one or more organic compounds that are solid at room temperature but becomes liquid at a printer operating temperature for ejecting the ink composition onto a print surface. A method of producing an ink composition, comprises: melting an ink composition; and jetting the ink composition onto an image receiving substrate, wherein the ink composition forms a solid state.
