PURPOSE: A pulley assembly for a compressor is provided to simplify the structure of the pulley assembly using magneto-fluid, and to maximally maintain the liquidity of the magneto-fluid. CONSTITUTION: A pulley assembly for a compressor comprises a pulley(112), a disc part(124), a magneto-fluid clutch(130), a field coil(118), and a hastening unit. The pulley is rotatably supported by a bearing(109), and is rotated by the driving force of an engine. The disc part is connected to one end of a rotary shaft(108), and faces with the pulley. The magneto-fluid clutch is installed between the pulley and the disc part, and has magneto-fluid(134) in a fluid space(132). The torque of the pulley is selectively transferred to the rotary shaft. The field coil supplies magnetic field to the magneto-fluid, and the magneto-fluid is solidified. The hastening unit hastens solidifying of the magneto-fluid.
