PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for electrolytic polishing a metal tape are provided to enable multiple electrolytic polishing on metal tapes by minimizing a lowering of electrolytic polishing due to bubbles generated by electrolytic polishing liquid. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for electrolytic polishing a metal tape comprises an electrolytic polishing tank(310) and a roller member(490). The electrolytic polishing tank comprises an inner tank(312) and an outer tank(314). The inner tank contains the electrolytic polishing liquid. The outer tank contains the electrolytic polishing liquid flowing out from the inner tank. The roller member is installed in the electrolytic polishing tank. The roller member guides the movement route of the metal tape in order to move the metal tape in a reciprocating motion within the electrolytic polishing tank and to dip the metal tape in the electrolytic polishing liquid.
