<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to simplify processing required for directional indication with an existing electro-optical device. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device has a plurality of unit pixels 63 provided for each image of a plurality of mutually different images and an optical element specifying a range which light emitted from the unit pixels 63 reaches for each of the images. The unit pixels 63 corresponding to one of the images are provided within square areas 61 with each of square areas 61 specified by a square whose one side is a (a is a positive real number).
