PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device which can make a well-balanced layout of a title image to be realized on a cover sheet, in a cover, during binding a book. SOLUTION: The bookbinding device includes: a bookbinding process route for transferring a batch of intermediate paper sheets to a predetermined bookbinding position; a cover feed route for feeding and setting the cover sheet to a bookbinding position arranged crossing the above route; a cover binding means which is arranged in a bookbinding position and makes a bookbinding by wrapping the batch of intermediate paper sheets with the cover sheet; an aligning means for correcting the setting position of the cover sheet; an image reading means for photographing at least, a part of the title image of the cover sheet which is fed and set; and a control means for controlling the aligning means. In addition, the control means includes (1) an image display means for displaying the cover image as finished for bookbinding by the cover binding means and (2) an offset level setting means for specifying a position correction level of the cover sheet setting position at a bookbinding location.
