PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive gas combustor for surely detecting an incomplete combustion gas included in a combustion exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This gas combustor includes a body, a gas burner received in the body, an exhaust port formed on the body for discharging the combustion exhaust gas generated by the gas burner, and a shielding plate 50 disposed at an upper part of the gas burner in an inclined state to shield the gas burner to the exhaust port. The gas combustor further includes: a combustion exhaust gas introducing pipe 60 formed into a hollow pipe shape, disposed adjacent to an upper end 50b of the shielding plate 50 along the upper end 50b, and having a plurality of through-holes 61 on parts opposed to the gas burner, of an outer peripheral face 60a; and a gas detecting means detecting the incomplete combustion gas included in the combustion exhaust gas entering to the inside of the combustion exhaust gas introducing pipe 60 from the plurality of through-holes 61 of the combustion exhaust gas introducing pipe 60.
