<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel wireless communication device that lightens the burden on a user who makes a connection with a target wireless network to be connected, to provide a method for connection with the target wireless network, and to provide a program. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An authorization method to be used for the target wireless network is acquired from a signal output from an external device constituting the target wireless network, a plurality of kinds of encryption methods corresponding to the acquired authorization method are sequentially selected, and the selected kinds of authorization methods are used to attempt to make a connection with the target radio network (S404, S408, S416, S420, S426, S430).
