<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garment (new Japanese clothes) easily producible at a low cost, easy to put on and off, freely wearable from on various clothes as layering, and excellently matching with the designs of the clothes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This garment is obtained by half folding a cloth 1 of a rectangular or square form, having a pair of parallel linear first side hems 1a and 1b, and a pair of linear second side hems 1c and 1d perpendicular to the first side hems 1a and 1b, along a line 2 in parallel to a pair of the first side hems, and sewing overlapped two cloth parts on a pair of the second side hems connected to both the ends of the fold line 2, leaving an area of a prescribed length s from the fold line. A first opening 3 formed in an area of the first side hems opposed to the fold line is made open forward, and the garment is worn by inserting the arms into second openings 4 and 5 formed in an area of a prescribed length from the fold line.
