<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an acrylic emulsion excellent in wettability, compatibility, and adhesiveness to various materials. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an acrylic emulsion, a monomer represented by the structural formula or an acrylic monomer including an epoxy group or an acrylic monomer including a specific secondary amine is subjected to emulsion polymerization by using 0.020-0.400 mol of a polymerization initiator per 1.0 mol of an α-methylstyrene dimer in the presence of an acrylic prepolymer prepared by subjecting an acrylic monomer including an alkyl acrylate to bulk polymerization.
