NOVEL PROTEIN HAVING FRUCTOSYL VALYL HISTIDINE OXIDASE ACTIVITY AND MODIFIED PRODUCT THEREOF, AND USE OF THE PROTEIN OR THE MODIFIED PRODUCT

Disclosed is a protein having a fructosyl amino acid oxidase activity that is useful for the measurement of a glycosylated protein (particularly glycosylated hemoglobin).  Also disclosed is a modified product of the protein.  Further disclosed is a method for utilizing the protein or the modified product thereof.  An example of the protein is fructosyl valyl histidine oxidase derived from Phaeosphaeria nodorum which has excellent thermal stability and substrate specificity and has a low Km value for fructosyl valyl histidine.  Therefore, the protein can improve the long-term storage stability of a reagent for measuring a glycosylated protein and can also improve the accuracy of the measurement.
