The bearing has a pivot bearing unit (LS) comprising an outer ring (1), an inner ring (2), and roller bodies i.e. balls (4), movably accommodated between the outer ring and the inner ring. The bearing unit is pivotably arranged in a bearing retainer i.e. articulated ring (6), which accommodates the outer ring. The inner ring accommodates corrugated ends of a worm (S) for radially retaining the corrugated ends of the worm in a housing (G) of a steering gear. A spring element i.e. spring disk (FS), exerts axially acting force on the outer ring.
