The module (10) has an inflatable gas bag (12) with a gas bag wall (16), and regulating devices (22, 24) provided for influencing outflow of gas from the gas bag. A band (26) is coupled to the regulating devices, and is attached on an inner side of the bag wall at two places (28, 30). Length of the band is larger than shortest connection between the two places on the bag wall in a completely unfolded condition of the gas bag. The band stands under tensile stress in the unfolded condition of the gas bag. The gas bag is attached to a front wall section (18) of the bag wall.
