The method involves combining radiation detector modules (1), which are arranged in parallel. An individual radiation conversion element (5) with a radiation entrance surface (4) is connected with a collimator element (7), where the radiation entrance surface is transversely aligned to a main direction (H) of radiation. The collimator element is perpendicularly aligned to the radiation entrance surface. The collimator element is fixed in the main direction of the radiation by the entrance surface at a side surface of the radiation conversion element. An independent claim is also included for a radiation detector module for manufacturing a radiation detector.
