1,047,980. External wall cladding. HUNTER DOUGLAS INTERNATIONAL Ltd. Nov. 16, 1964 [Nov. 26, 1963], No. 46540/64. Heading E1V. The wall of, e.g., a bungalow, is clad on the outside with panels 4 having outwardly curled edges 5, and being retained in position by resilient clamping strips 8 with inwardlycurled edges 6 and 7, which clamp the panels against mushroom-sectioned supports 2, each of which may comprise a line of short sections, or a single, mushroom-sectioned strip. The supports 2 are attached to plates 3 fixed to the wall. When erecting the cladding, one panel 4 is placed in position, a clamping strip 8 (shown in dotted lines) is placed against one curled edge, and the next panel is placed with its nearest curled edge curled around the free curled edge of the strip 8, which is then sprung into its final position. |
