A pressure transmitter (1) comprises a pressure transmitter base (6, 9) including a pressure compartment (4); a separating membrane (2) which seals the pressure compartment in a pressure-tight manner, the separating membrane being impinged with the pressure of a medium on the side facing away from the pressure compartment and said pressure being transmitted through the separating membrane into the pressure compartment; and a hydraulic path (5, 8) that extends away from the pressure compartment and can be connected to a pressure sensor cell (3), thereby impinging the pressure sensor cell with the pressure prevailing in the pressure compartment. The pressure transmitter also comprises a hydraulic damping element (11, 12) which can be used to modify the effective hydraulic cross-section in at least one section of the hydraulic path depending on a temperature of the pressure transmitter. |
