PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a weather strip for an automobile which is lightweight and excellent in productivity and mounting workability. SOLUTION: The mounting structure of the weather strip 20 includes a mounting base 21 mounted along a flange 2 formed in a door opening edge of a body panel 1 given a resin-made interior material 10 and a hollow seal part 22 coming into elastic contact with a door panel 3 integrally formed in the vehicle outside of the mounting base 21. While bending the interior material 10 to the vehicle outside of a flange 2 to be extended and arranging the extended part 12 along the vehicle outside surface of the flange 2, the mounting base 21 of the weather strip 20 is arranged along the vehicle outside of the extended part 12 of the interior material 10 and the mounting base 21 is fixed to the extended part 12.
