<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growing equipment efficiently securing a sufficient quantity of light for growing plants by making a light source and plants close to each other, and securing excellent air permeability so as to give a suitable growth environment to plants. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This plant growing equipment includes a plurality of shelf parts 32 for placing plants and set in a plant growing room 1, a light source 331 set above each of the shelf parts 32, and irradiating plants with light for growth a cover 332 set surrounding the light source 331, and formed with a plurality of air holes 332x on a plant facing wall 3321 as a transparent wall allowing to penetrate light, an air port 31a opening in space in the cover 332 and for inhaling air in the space, and a circulation route L1 cooling the air inhaled from the air port 31a and blowing it out into the plant growing room 1.
