PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for inspecting a capacitive sensor module, which is a major component of a capacitive touch sensor, without needing any time and effort or causing any variation in determination in each inspection. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for inspecting the capacitive sensor module is provided with: an inspection tool 3 having an insulating substrate with a plurality of inspection electrodes formed thereon, and placed on the input side face of a sample to be inspected as a capacitive sensor module, and having inspection electrodes facing the sensor electrode of a sample 2 to be inspected at fixed intervals; a switching means 7 for successively and automatically switching every one or several electrodes to an arbitrary fixed potential; a determination means 8 for calculating a difference between the change value of a capacitance with the inspection tool detected by the sample to be inspected each time the potential is switched and the change value of the capacitance as a reference, and for, when the difference exceeds a predetermined value, deciding that the sample to be inspected is a defective; and a notification means 9 for notifying a user of the determination result of the determination means.
