PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit having a structure which prevents unnecessary light from being incident and hardly breaks an infrared cut-off filter even if the unit drops, and also provide a photographing device provided with the optical unit concerned. SOLUTION: A first concave part P1, in which an infrared cut-off filter IRCF is arranged, and a second concave part P2, in which a mask member is arranged, are provided, the first concave part being adjacent to the aperture AP2 on the image-forming side of a back holder 212B and surrounding the aperture concerned. The mask member expands over the edges of the infrared cut-off filter IRCF and includes an aperture AP3, through which light passes, at its center part which overlaps with the infrared cut-off filter. The infrared cut-off filter is held with a double-sided adhesive tape pasted on the mask member M2 which blocks unnecessary light which runs off the aperture and advances.
