PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle opening reference learning device capable of preventing wrong learning of an opening reference value used for the opening control of a throttle valve. SOLUTION: The throttle opening reference learning device learning the opening reference value as a reference for opening control of a throttle valve, includes a learning value storage means storing the opening reference value renewed during previous engine operation as a previous learning value, and an opening reference renewing means reading the previous learning value out of the learning value storage means at start of the engine, setting the previous learning value as an initial value of the opening reference value and as the learning reference value, determining whether an opening actual measurement value at the closed-most side of the throttle valve is included in a learning allowable range having a the learning reference value at a center value in a prescribed cycle, and renewing the opening actual measurement value as a new opening reference value when the opening measurement value is included in the learning allowable range.
