PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foamable styrenic resin particles producible of a foamed molded product excellent in lightness and environmental hygiene. SOLUTION: When this foamable styrenic resin particles are charged in a mold to be foamed after prefoaming, the foamed molded product is molded. In the foamable styrenic resin particles, the total amount of one or more aromatic compounds selected from the group consisting of a styrenic monomer, ethyl benzene, toluene, n-propylbenzene, i-propylbenzene, and xylene is 0-500 ppm based on the total weight of the foamable styrenic resin particles, and the particle diameter is 0.3-0.6 mm. The gel fraction of the surface of the prefoamed particles prefoamed to 10 times in bulk magnification is 60-100 wt.% while the gel fraction of the center portion is 0-20 wt.%.
