PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette for a thermal transfer sheet capable of fixing firmly a lid body of the cassette to a core holding body, without generating a burr in a distal end of a projected part provided in the lid body. SOLUTION: The cassette 10 for the thermal transfer sheet is provided with the core holding body 11 having a winding core holding part 13, a supply core holding part 12, and a pair of connecting parts 17, and the pair of lid bodies (winding side lid body 21 and supply side lid body 20) for covering the winding core holding part 13 and the supply core holding part 12 of the core holding body 11. The winding side lid body 21 has four of the first projected parts 25 engaged with the winding core holding part 13. Each of the first projected parts 25 has the first base body 25a, and the first distal end protrusion 25b formed in a distal end of the first base body 25a, and engaged with the winding core holding part 13. The first distal end protrusion 25b of each of the first projected parts 25 has a thickness corresponding to a clearance between the first locking part 23b and the first grasping part 23a.
