A fuel system (500) using a thermal load control assembly includes a single fuel tank (90) that supplies fuel to the rail inlet port (14) and the cooling inlet port (16) of a plurality of fuel injectors (200) and collect fuel from the fuel drain port (18) of the plurality of fuel injectors (200).
