The middle ear prosth (10) has a shaft-shaped prosthesis body (13), in which an end provides a coupling element, which is carried either as top plate for mechanical connection or as clip for coupling the prosthesis at the hammer grip. A receiving part (14) has a turned away end of the prosthesis body as oblong cavity (17) that forms the receiving opening with cylindrical borehole. The cylindrical borehole extends in an axial direction of the prosthesis body and completely surrounds a plug connector element (16) of an insertion element (15) in mounting condition.
