<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick-type walking support apparatus for supporting a lower leg with a splint in order to assist safe walking when a person having difficulty in walking, due to disability after cerebral infarcts etc. or due to loss of muscle strength after hospitalization, walks or an artificial leg user practices walking. <P>SOLUTION: The walking support apparatus comprises: a straight stick 1 almost as long as a user's leg serving as the splint along the body side, fixed from the lower leg to an ankle; an upper end part 6 formed to be easily gripped with a hand naturally put down; a semicircular arm 3 to assist the splint from the lower end part toward the outside of the body; a handle which can be shortened when the user sits in a chair.
