<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when multi-gradation processing in a spatial direction and multi-gradation processing in an inter-frame direction are applied to the whole image in combination, significant image-quality deterioration is likely to occur on a bright portion of the image. <P>SOLUTION: Either a means for checking the luminance of pixels, a display rate and a histogram to independently perform the multi-gradation processing in the inter-frame direction, or a means for performing the multi-gradation processing in the spatial direction after the multi-gradation processing in the inter-frame direction is selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
