<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with a large charge and discharge capacity and with fully satisfactory battery performance, as well as a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the positive electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, a thin film mainly made of lithium complex oxide is formed on a base material by vapor-phase growth, and the thin film formed is put under heat treatment and then is rinsed in water. A mold body mainly made of raw material powder of the lithium complex oxide is sintered to make up a sintered compact, and the sintered compact made is rinsed in water.
