<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having high mobility and a large current on/off-ratio, and is superior in storage stability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer which contains at least one of a compound represented by a general formula 1. In the formula 1, X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>6</SB>independently represent hydrogen, halogen, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxyalkyl group, or an aryl group, a ring A and a ring B independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted thiophen ring, R<SB>1</SB>represents an alkyl group or an aryl group, R<SB>2</SB>represents hydrogen, halogen, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxyalkyl group, or an aryl group, and Y<SB>1</SB>and Y<SB>2</SB>independently represent -CH=CH- or -C≡C-, and n represents 0 or 1.
