<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting tool surely preventing disconnection by an inexpensive technique for only utilizing a simple auxiliary tool in such a state that a usual form and structure are kept. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The connecting tool for an animal includes: a body 10 having a hook 4 extending from a base 3 connected to a base end ring 2; and an engaging pin 5 having a closing habit to be urged in the base part 3, and brought into pressure contact with the tip 4a of the protruding hook 4 to close an opening 4b, and protruding a retreat operation part 5a in the lateral side of the base 3. Furthermore, a stopper 6 comprising an elastic member, having a cross-section which is a circular arc larger than a semicircular arc so as to elastically mount and demount on the base 3 from the lateral side thereof, opening a demounting port 6a to the lateral side, stretching between the retreat operation part 5a and a hooking part 3a on the base 3 located on the side of the retreat operation thereof, and preventing the retreat of the engaging pin 5 through the retreat operation part 5a in such a state that the stopper is mounted on the base 3 is combined with the engaging pin 5.
