<p>Provided is a coating liquid for forming a coating film which gives a film, and especially an optical film, which has high transparency and also high heat resistance. Disclosed are: a triaroylbenzene-based polymer in which the terminus of a polymer formed by polymerizing a compound represented by formula [1] is modified with a compound represented by formula [2], a coating liquid for forming a coating film which contains the polymer, and a film obtained from the coating liquid for forming a coating film.
