<p>A method of non-destructive checking of a structure (1) comprises a step of detection and a step of inspection. In the course of the detection step: i) ultrasound Lamb waves are generated at a point A of the structure (1) by means of an emission transducer (20), ii) the Lamb waves are detected at a point B of the structure (1) remote from the point A by means of a reception transducer (21), iii) it is determined whether a criterion of detection of the probable presence of at least one defect (5) in proximity to a segment AB formed by the points A and B is satisfied, at least as a function of characteristics of said Lamb waves detected, iv) the points A and B are moved so as to sweep at least a part to be checked of the structure (1), v) the set of segments AB for which the detection criterion has been satisfied determines one or more zones (S1, S2). The inspection step is performed on the zone or zones (S1, S2) determined, when such zones have been determined, so as to locate and characterize the defect or defects (5).</p> |
