PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner collecting container at a low cost, which prevents waste toner from adhering to a full-state detecting part and the flow of the waste toner from being blocked by the full-state detecting part when waste toner in a waste toner collecting container is removed, and completely and smoothly removes the waste toner in the waste toner collecting container, and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The waste toner collecting container detachable from the image forming apparatus includes: a waste toner collecting port for collecting waste toner from a cleaning part of the image forming apparatus; a full-state detecting section that detects whether the waste toner collecting container is full of waste toner; and a waste toner removal port through which the waste toner is removed.
